The Congo River (for a time known as Zaire River) is the largest river in Western Central Africa. Kinshasa (formerly Léopoldville or more rarely Leopoldstad) is the capital and largest city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is located on the Congo River.

The Congo River (Zaire R.) in fact has an estuary not a delta. The estuary is in two areas or regions of the Congo: Inner Estuary and the Outer Estuary. Inner is shallow, and divides up into many channels with islands and swamps. Outer Estuary butts up to the inner one with a forest of mangroves. This estuary becomes quite deep — canyon-like. Here's a map showing the estuaries with additional information. http://nest.su.se/MNODE/africa/Congo/Congobud.htm If you google Congo River Estuary many, many sites pop up for you to gather information.
