I'm going to have to guess, on the little information available, that it's not as "green" as he'd have us believe. Jets operate on Jet A, or Jet A-1, both of which are highly refined kerosene deriviatives. Kerosene is close enough to diesel in specific gravity to be interchangeable for ground operations with little to no concern. I say that because the article I came across had little technological information in it. So my best guess is that he's going to try blending biodiesel, or something very similar, with traditional Jet A-1. Based on that assumption, and the current performance specs for biodiesel, he's going to have a hard time. Jets will run on about anything that's flammable, but the tolerances listed in ATA 103, (which outlines airline fuel standards,) is likely to give him a hard time getting this past the FAA or JAA. Until I know more about the fuel, it's implementation and reliability, I probably won't be flying on Virgin.

Haha .......... youre joking right? They just didnt want to associate themselves with the lower classes. Nope, a good middle class family full of doctors and a cute girl.
