A film festival is an organised, extended presentation of films in one or more movie theaters or screening venues, usually in a single locality. The films may be of recent date and, depending upon the focus of the individual festival, can include international releases as well as films produced by the organisers' domestic film industry. Sometimes there is a focus on a specific film-maker or genre or subject matter (e.g. , gay and lesbian film festivals). A number of film festivals specialise in short films, each with its defined maximum length. Film festivals are typically annual events.

Hi there im sorry to imform you but your video for the film festival will need a lot of improvement. I'm no judge or film director but that video just doesn't look up to standards of what i think they would expect. I do however have a suggeston to recommend to you. How about looking up previous videos taken from the film festival. They will be able to give you a good insight on what the film festival is possibly looking for.

The biggest reason people go to Sundance is for exposure- its a surefire way to get your film seen by thousands of industry people and distributors, and many distributors/ studios send scouts to the festival to look for new, edgy films to release.

Go to their website and submit your film: http://www.festival-cannes.com/en.html If it doesn't get in, you can spend a lot of money and hire a company to do the promotion for your film (you should have a film, first...or a lot of money), and they will set up screenings at Cannes outside of the festival screenings. Do a web search to find companies that do this sort of promotion.
